Medical Committee

The Medical Committee consists of five physicians, four of them appointed by the Executive Board of the IBU. The chair is held by the IBU Vice-President for Medical Issues. The Committee is responsible for all medical aspects of the sport of Biathlon; it takes care of the health of the athletes and implements the IBU Anti-Doping Rules. It advises the Executive Board, the Technical Committee and the other IBU bodies as well as the IBU member federations on medical issues.
